Interior Design Project for Mediktor Offices in the Modernist Area of Sant Pau

A dialogue between history and innovation

Renovating a space declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO is a challenge and a privilege. Our latest interior design project for the Mediktor offices is located in the Modernist Site of Sant Pau . It has been an exercise in respect for the historical environment. At the same time, it has been combined with the need to adapt it to the demands of a digital company.

This project has focused on environmental quality and user comfort. It includes design solutions that improve the workers’ experience and enhance the functionality of the space.

Improved acoustic comfort: a space without noise or reverberations

One of the main objectives of the intervention has been to optimize acoustic comfort, which is essential in a work environment. To achieve this, acoustic absorption baffles have been incorporated that reduce reverberation time and allow for a quieter and more productive environment.

In addition, individual soundproofed booths have been created for calls and meetings, with integrated ventilation to ensure a comfortable experience without sacrificing privacy.

Custom furniture: integrated functionality and technology

The design of the furniture has been key in this project. To adapt to the needs of a digital team like Mediktor , custom-made tables and workspaces have been designed. These directly incorporate the facilities for the computer equipment.

In addition, flexible furniture with wheels has been chosen, allowing the space to be easily reconfigured according to the activity. It is useful for meetings and collaborative work, even for talks and conferences.

A more humane environment: plants and comfortable spaces

Creating a pleasant working environment has been a priority. The incorporation of natural plants has helped to generate a warmer and more welcoming atmosphere, providing well-being to workers and improving air quality.

This combination of design, acoustic comfort and flexibility makes these offices a space adapted to the needs of an innovative company. All this in such a unique environment as the Modernist Recinte de Sant Pau.

A sustainable and efficient rehabilitation

The project has been developed following sustainability standards. It has also obtained LEED Silver certification, a recognition of its energy efficiency and responsible use of materials.

This project is an example of how design can transform historic spaces into modern, sustainable offices fully adapted to the needs of the 21st century.
